Great Lakes Council FFF Fly Tying Expo, Mason, Michigan

For those looking for something to do next weekend here is a good show in Michigan.  (near Lansing)

The eighth annual Fly Tying Expo at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 1, will feature demonstrations by 60 nationally recognized experts. The demonstration patterns will include trout flies, bass bugs, saltwater flies, streamers, emergers, dries and wets. The event, sponsored by the Great Lakes Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers, will include vendor booths, auctions and raffles. Admission is $10 adults, $5 for ages 13-18. Re: Great Lakes Council FFF Fly Tying Expo, Mason, Michigan

Mike,  this show may be a different show than you are aware of, unless you do a lot of reading on a couple of other sites.  The show is what is commonly referred to as the "Mason Show" and it's strictly fly tying.     This is going to me my first time down for this one, if the weather holds.

The other show that I usually mention here is the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo, which is put on by the Michigan Fly Fishing Club, in Warren, Michigan.    That one deals with all aspects of fly fishing and has casting pools where you can try out rods etc.

Here is the web site for that one.   It's just short of an hour from the Blue Water Bridge.
